Borrasca

Nobody in Drisking, Missouri liked talking about the mountain.

Everyone knew about the sound.

A horrible metallic scream that echoed through the woods, a noise so unnatural that people called it the Borrasca. It sounded like something mechanical tearing itself apart deep underground, but nobody could explain where it came from.

When Sam Walker moved there, he thought the rumors were just another small town legend. He was young, trying to adjust to a new home, and more interested in making friends than investigating strange noises coming from the forest.

He quickly became close with Kyle and Kimber, and together they grew up surrounded by the same mysteries everyone else ignored.

People disappeared in Drisking.

Especially young women.

The town always seemed to have an excuse. Someone ran away. Someone left without saying goodbye. Someone wanted a fresh start.

But the disappearances never stopped.

Years later, when Sam's sister Whitney vanished, something felt different. His father, who was the town sheriff, didn't react the way a father should. Instead of searching desperately, he seemed strangely calm, almost like he already knew what had happened.

That was when Sam realized the town wasn't hiding a ghost story.

It was hiding something human.

Determined to find answers, Sam, Kyle, and Kimber followed the Borrasca sound into the woods. What they discovered beneath the mountain was worse than anything they could have imagined.

The screams weren't coming from a creature.

They were coming from a machine.

Hidden underground was a horrifying operation built around keeping the town alive at any cost. Women who had disappeared were being held captive, forced into a nightmare that had been protected by the people who were supposed to keep them safe.

The worst discovery came when Sam learned the people responsible weren't outsiders.

They were neighbors.

Friends.

Family.

The same people who smiled at everyone in town had built a system of cruelty hidden beneath the mountain.

The Borrasca was never a monster in the woods.

It was proof of what humans were capable of doing when nobody was watching.
