Man trying to enter my home in the middle of the night

I had just fallen asleep when my dog outside began barking intensely. A moment later my phone notified me that there was motion at the front door. I opened the live camera view and saw an eyeball directly in front of the lens, with a man whispering and mumbling to himself. He knocked and rang the doorbell.

He tried the doorknob and then the window, standing to the side while continuing to mumble. Fortunately, the door was locked. My partner told him that we were going to call the police. He became angry and claimed he was only looking for his dog, but the explanation did not account for trying to enter the house or putting his eye against the camera.

The incident was recorded by the doorbell camera, including the man’s behavior at the entrance.
