Something has been listening to me
So, this story is 100% true and happened to me recently. I’m just a normal person, but for privacy reasons, I’ll use the name “Evan” in this story.
Over the past two months, I’ve been going through a really stressful period, with everyday situations and work taking a toll on me. For three weeks straight, I would wake up almost every night around 3–4 AM.
A voice would speak to me: “Hey, Evan, wake up,” or “Oh, Evan…” in a tone that sounded urgent, but at the same time, the voice was extremely calm. I don’t really know how to explain it.
What felt a little weird was that the voice always sounded like that of a family member. But even stranger was the fact that it knew my name, and I couldn’t understand why it wanted to wake me up.
I’m someone who sleeps very lightly and has a hard time falling back asleep after even the smallest noise, so this whole thing was really weird.
A few days later, I went out with a friend and ended up telling him about it. I was also thinking to myself about what kind of person or creature could possibly be talking to me. This was around August 22nd of this year.
About a week later, the voice woke me up again. It was always a feminine voice, and it would call my name two or three times until I woke up, then it would disappear.
But this time was different.
It spoke to me and then waited for me to look at it. I was still half-asleep, but I remember what I saw as clearly as if it had just happened.
It was a dark silhouette of a short figure with thin limbs and a rounded head and torso. The silhouette wasn’t solid or clearly defined; it looked more like a shadow or smoke. But it stayed there long enough for me to make out its shape, for about three seconds.
It hasn’t happened again since that day. But some of the things that I found extremely strange were the fact that it knew my name, the fact that it woke me up around the same time every night, the fact that it woke me up and somehow seemed to hear me—and then did exactly what I wanted it to do.
And, above all, I never felt scared at any point during the experience. Strangely enough, I actually felt a sense of warmth.
