Things people needed to say and could not say to anyone they know. Every confession is anonymous, and names, addresses and other identifying details are screened out before it is published.
Why people confess here
Saying something out loud — even to strangers — can make it lighter. Readers respond with comments, not judgement, and nobody can trace a confession back to you.
How your privacy is protected
You post under a mascot, not your name. Before publishing, posts are checked for names, addresses and institutions, and you can choose to edit anything flagged.
