Welcome to We Are Weirdos
The internet is full of places where people are expected to fit in.
WAWDOS was created for people who don't.
We Are Weirdos is a place to share creepy stories, conspiracies, strange experiences, unexplained encounters, and thoughts that might feel a little too weird for ordinary spaces.
But WAWDOS is about more than being weird.
It is about creating a place where people can express themselves without feeling judged for what they have experienced, imagined, questioned, or believe.
A Different Kind of Community
WAWDOS is built around privacy, anonymity, and identity without exposure.
Instead of requiring you to turn your real identity into your online identity, WAWDOS gives every user a themed username and a mascot.
And when you want complete public separation from your WAWDOS identity, you can submit through Cipher, our anonymous identity.
Your real name doesn't need to be the face of your story.
Your story can simply exist on its own.
Stories Are the Heart of WAWDOS
At WAWDOS, stories aren't meant to feel like another block of text on a screen.
We want them to feel like an experience.
Our storytelling concept is inspired by old-fashioned storytelling, where the atmosphere matters just as much as the story itself.
A WAWDOS story can begin with a candle being lit.
A book opens.
The story title appears.
The atmosphere changes.
A narrative begins.
Visuals, sound, animation, and ambient environments come together to make the experience feel less like scrolling through a post and more like being told a story.
The experience is designed to carry you from the beginning of a story to its final moment, then bring you back around in a way that feels almost like a loop.
More Than Creepy Stories
Creepy stories are at the center of WAWDOS, but they aren't the only things you can discover.
WAWDOS also gives people a place to explore:
Conspiracies
Strange experiences
Unexplained events
Personal stories
Other unusual subjects and perspectives
And as WAWDOS grows, the world inside it will continue to grow with it.
Free Mode
WAWDOS is built to remain accessible.
Free users can explore an endless collection of stories and receive new mascots as the mascot gallery grows.
Free users also receive access to free themes, a free badge, and the ability to submit stories within the Free Mode submission limit.
Narrated stories are also part of the WAWDOS experience, with Free Mode providing limited access so everyone can experience a taste of narrated storytelling.
WAWDOS isn't designed around forcing everyone to pay simply to participate.
There should always be a place for people who simply want to enter, explore, read, and share.

A Community Without Judgment
One of the most important ideas behind WAWDOS is simple:
You should be able to tell your story without being treated like a problem for telling it.
We want interactions on WAWDOS to be supportive.
That means creating a community where:
People aren't judged for their stories
Users can express themselves without unnecessary hostility Interactions remain respectful Harmful behavior isn't treated as normal Users can feel comfortable sharing their experiences A creepy platform doesn't have to be a negative platform.
The stories can be dark.
The atmosphere can be unsettling.
The community doesn't have to be.
Our Goals
WAWDOS is being built around a few fundamental goals:
Make the internet a more trusted place to express ourselves.
Make people feel less stressed and more understood.
Earn the trust of our users and protect it.
Make every user feel special in a supportive way.
Build a community where positivity exists at every layer of the platform.
Protect user privacy and anonymity.
These goals are the reason WAWDOS exists.
Your Identity Belongs to You
WAWDOS isn't interested in turning your real-world identity into your content.
That's why the platform uses themed usernames, mascots, and Cipher submissions.
We want your participation to feel personal without requiring you to make yourself personally identifiable.
Your story can be heard without everyone needing to know who you are.
We're Building WAWDOS With the Community
WAWDOS is not meant to be a finished world that never changes.
New mascots, themes, storytelling experiences, and other features can continue to become part of the platform as WAWDOS grows.
The goal is to build something that feels alive.
Something recognizable.
Something strange.
Something that feels like its own little corner of the internet.
A place where you can open a story at midnight, put on your headphones, disappear into the atmosphere, and come back wondering whether you should have read that one.
Welcome to WAWDOS.
Stay weird.
