WAWDOS is a platform where users can share creepy stories, conspiracies, and other unusual experiences with the community.
We want WAWDOS to provide an environment where users can participate without being required to publicly reveal their real-world identity.
This Privacy Policy explains how WAWDOS handles information connected to your use of the platform.
1. Your WAWDOS Identity
When you use WAWDOS, you are provided with a themed username that represents your identity on the platform.
Your WAWDOS username is intended to help users participate without needing to publicly use their real name.
WAWDOS usernames cannot be changed.
WAWDOS also provides users with a selection of mascots that can be used as their profile identity.
Users cannot upload their own profile picture, selfie, or other personal photograph as their profile picture.
These systems are designed to maintain the unique and anonymous identity of the WAWDOS community.
2. Anonymous Submissions
WAWDOS allows users to submit content under “Cipher,” which represents an anonymous submission.
When you submit a story or other content as Cipher, your WAWDOS username is not publicly associated with the submission.
Cipher exists to allow users to share content without publicly connecting the submission to their WAWDOS identity.
However, users should still avoid placing identifying personal information inside a submission if they wish to remain anonymous.
3. Information You Provide
WAWDOS may receive and store information that you provide when using the platform.
This may include information associated with your WAWDOS account and the content you voluntarily submit to the platform.
Your submissions may include:
Creepy stories
Conspiracies
Other experiences or content submitted to WAWDOS
You should avoid voluntarily including personal information that could reveal your real-world identity if you wish to remain anonymous.
4. Use of Your Stories and Content
By submitting a story, conspiracy, or other content to WAWDOS, you understand that WAWDOS may use your submission.
WAWDOS may use submitted stories or other content on the platform or in WAWDOS-related content.
Your submission may be used without publicly revealing your real-world identity.
To help maintain user anonymity, WAWDOS will not publicly credit your real name when using your submission.
Instead, when attribution is provided, WAWDOS may credit the submission using your WAWDOS username.
For example:
Submitted by @YourWAWDOSUsername
If you submitted the content through Cipher, the submission may instead be credited as Cipher, without publicly connecting it to your WAWDOS username.
This system allows WAWDOS to use and share community submissions while maintaining the anonymous identity of its users.
5. Manual Submission Review
WAWDOS uses manual human review when reviewing submissions.
WAWDOS does not use AI to review user submissions.
Your submitted stories, conspiracies, and other submitted content are reviewed manually rather than being automatically reviewed or judged by an artificial intelligence system.
We use manual review because maintaining the privacy of our users is important to WAWDOS.
This allows submissions to be reviewed by people rather than being passed through an AI system for submission review.
6. Privacy and Anonymity
WAWDOS is designed around the idea that users should be able to participate without publicly revealing their real-world identity.
However, users are responsible for the information they choose to include in their submissions.
If you include your real name, personal details, photographs, locations, or other identifying information within content you submit, that information may be visible to others depending on how the submission is published.
For this reason, users who wish to remain anonymous should avoid including information that could identify them.
7. Community and Account Protection
WAWDOS may take action against accounts or content that violate the rules of the platform.
Such actions may include restricting access to certain features or restricting access to the account.
