These Terms & Conditions govern your use of WAWDOS and the services, content, and features made available through the platform.
By creating an account or using WAWDOS, you agree to these Terms & Conditions, our Privacy Policy, and our Community Guidelines.
If you do not agree with these terms, you should not use WAWDOS.
1. About WAWDOS
WAWDOS is a platform where users can share and discover creepy stories, conspiracies, strange experiences, and other unusual content.
WAWDOS provides users with themed usernames and mascots and allows users to submit content under Cipher, our anonymous submission identity.
WAWDOS may change, improve, add, or remove features as the platform develops.
2. Eligibility and Account Responsibility
When creating or using a WAWDOS account, you are responsible for providing information that is accurate to the extent required by the platform.
You are responsible for activity carried out through your account.
You must not intentionally allow another person to use your account in a way that violates these Terms & Conditions or the WAWDOS Community Guidelines.
You are also responsible for keeping your account credentials private.
3. WAWDOS Usernames
WAWDOS provides themed usernames as part of its identity system.
WAWDOS usernames cannot be changed.
You should therefore choose your username carefully and avoid selecting information that reveals your real-world identity.
Your WAWDOS username does not give you ownership of the WAWDOS platform, its branding, or its intellectual property.
4. Mascots and Profile Identity
WAWDOS provides mascots for users to use as their profile identity.
The available mascots are part of the WAWDOS platform and may be changed, expanded, or updated over time.
Users may not use the mascot system to impersonate another user or misrepresent their identity.
5. Cipher Submissions
WAWDOS provides Cipher as an anonymous submission option.
When you submit content through Cipher, your WAWDOS username is not publicly displayed alongside that submission.
Cipher is intended to provide public anonymity, but users should understand that anonymity depends partly on the information they choose to include in their content.
Do not include identifying information in a Cipher submission if you do not want that information associated with you publicly.
6. User-Submitted Content
You may submit stories, conspiracies, experiences, and other content to WAWDOS.
You are responsible for the content you submit.
By submitting content, you confirm that you have the right to submit that content and that your submission does not knowingly violate the rights of another person.
You should not submit content that you do not have permission or the legal right to use.
7. Permission to Use Submitted Content
By submitting content to WAWDOS, you give WAWDOS permission to use, reproduce, display, publish, adapt, and feature that submission in connection with WAWDOS.
This may include using submissions on WAWDOS and in WAWDOS-related content.
WAWDOS may use your submission without publicly revealing your real-world identity.
When attribution is provided, WAWDOS may credit your submission using your WAWDOS username.
If the submission was made through Cipher, WAWDOS may use Cipher or another anonymous designation instead.
This arrangement is intended to allow WAWDOS to use community content while maintaining the public anonymity of its users.
8. Your Responsibility for Submitted Content
You are responsible for ensuring that your submission does not violate these Terms & Conditions or the WAWDOS Community Guidelines.
Do not use submissions to:
Threaten another person
Harass another person
Bully another user
Reveal another person's private identity
Publish private information without permission Infringe another person's rights Deliberately abuse WAWDOS or its users Additional content and behavior restrictions are described in the WAWDOS Community Guidelines.
9. Content Moderation
WAWDOS uses manual human review for submission review.
WAWDOS does not use AI to review user submissions.
Submitted content may be reviewed manually to determine whether it complies with the WAWDOS Community Guidelines.
WAWDOS may remove, restrict, or otherwise take action concerning content that violates the platform's rules.
10. Community Guidelines
Your use of WAWDOS is also subject to the WAWDOS Community Guidelines.
The Community Guidelines establish the behavioral standards expected from users.
Violations may result in content removal, account flags, feature restrictions, temporary restrictions, or loss of access to WAWDOS.
Serious violations may result in immediate action.
11. Account Restrictions and Termination
WAWDOS may restrict or terminate an account when reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms & Conditions or the Community Guidelines.
Depending on the circumstances, WAWDOS may restrict individual features or completely remove access to an account.
A user may not attempt to circumvent an account restriction by creating or using another account for the purpose of avoiding enforcement.
WAWDOS may also take action when necessary to protect the platform or its users.
12. Free Mode
WAWDOS provides a Free Mode that allows users to access WAWDOS without purchasing Ghost Mode.
Free Mode currently includes features such as:
Access to stories
Free mascots
Free themes
One free badge
Limited story submissions
Limited access to narrated stories
The features and limits of Free Mode may change as WAWDOS develops.
13. Ghost Mode
WAWDOS offers Ghost Mode as a paid experience.
Ghost Mode includes the features available in Free Mode together with additional premium features.
These may include:
Dedicated story introductions
Premium themes
Custom notification sounds
Premium badges
Unlimited story sharing
Cinematic animated introductions
Ambient animated reading backgrounds
Premium visual themes
Story narration
Additional Ghost Mode features
Ghost Mode is offered at the price displayed by WAWDOS at the time of purchase.
The current planned price is $3.49 for the following month.
WAWDOS may change the price or features of Ghost Mode in the future.
14. Availability of Features
WAWDOS is continuously developing.
Features may be added, changed, temporarily unavailable, or removed as the platform develops.
The existence of a feature in these Terms does not guarantee that the feature will always remain available in its current form.
WAWDOS may make changes necessary to improve, maintain, or operate the platform.
15. Intellectual Property
The WAWDOS name, branding, platform design, mascots, original visual assets, original sounds, original animations, and other materials created by WAWDOS belong to WAWDOS or their respective owners.
You may not copy, reproduce, redistribute, modify, sell, or use WAWDOS-owned materials without appropriate permission.
Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of WAWDOS intellectual property to you.
16. User Conduct
You agree to use WAWDOS responsibly and in accordance with these Terms & Conditions and the Community Guidelines.
You must not intentionally use WAWDOS to:
Harm other users
Threaten others
Expose anonymous users
Harass or bully others
Circumvent restrictions
Abuse platform functionality
Interfere with other users' experience
Violate applicable laws
WAWDOS may take action when these rules are violated.
17. Disclaimer
WAWDOS provides a platform for people to share stories, conspiracies, experiences, and ideas.
Content submitted by users represents the views, experiences, or claims of the people who submit it and does not necessarily represent the views of WAWDOS.
WAWDOS does not guarantee that every story, conspiracy, claim, or experience shared on the platform is true, accurate, or factual.
Users should exercise their own judgment when interacting with user-generated content.
18. Changes to WAWDOS
WAWDOS is an evolving platform.
We may modify the platform, its design, features, available content, pricing, or functionality as it develops.
We may also update these Terms & Conditions when necessary.
When significant changes are made, the Last Updated date may be updated.
Your continued use of WAWDOS after updated Terms become effective means that you accept the updated Terms.
